As part of the GRIP 1-4 development and outline design for the Wessex SISS renewal deployed across 176 South Western Railway (SWR) stations Sunville Rail were contracted by Telent to carry out civils elements to complete the renewal and technological equivalent upgrade of the PA speakers and CIS screens, with all associated cabling and cable management Sunville also carried out all works replacing all old steel pit lids for like for like composite pit lids for easier access.

•Breaking out and removal of redundant existing pit lids
•Installation of pit lids various sizes on platforms
•Tarmac reinstatement
•Overbanding installation
•Thermoplastic line installation
•Vegetation clearing and removal for access
•Provision of site operatives
•Provision of site keeper staff
•Provision of plant, including battery operated tools for reduced emissions
•Rodding and roping cable duct route
•HCE Surveys
•CAT scan area for existing cable and buried services
•Dig out and install buried duct routes
•Set up segregation from passengers as required or plan works for white periods.
•Ultrasonic test of baseplates
•Protection applied to baseplates
