Our Health and Safety Mission Statement

The Sunville Rail Health & Safety management system defines how the company provides a healthy and safe work environment. All employees share the company's genuine commitment to Health and Safety supported by a firm, fair and consistent enforcement policy.   

The company provides the necessary training and resources, helping to reduce or eliminate workplace hazards and injury to as low a level as is reasonably practicable.   

We believe that standards of safety, health and welfare must be maintained at the highest possible levels, resulting in a workplace that is a safe and happy environment.

Health

We care about the health of all of our employees and are committed to protecting them from occupational health hazards. We also encourage them to look after their own general health.

A workforce that is healthy, fit and alert is more likely to stay safe and take less time off from work. This in turn helps us deliver a high standard service, on time, within budget and to customer requirements.

Safety

The most important aspect of Sunville Rail's work is ensuring the health & safety of all of those affected by its activities - employees, clients, the public and anyone else on or about the location of our work sites. Sunville Rail recognises that effective management of health & safety is an integral part of our business and that co-operation and ownership at all levels is vital in achieving the Health & Safety aims and objectives for which we strive.

We have developed policies and procedures designed to reflect our compliance with legislation, Railway Group & Network Rail Company Standards.

Our Health & Safety Management System is certified to ISO 45001: 2018

Quality

It is Sunville Rail's policy to achieve sustained, profitable growth by providing services which consistently satisfy and exceed the requirements and expectations of our customers. Sunville Rail's quality management system sets out clear objectives for quality performance and details the principles that are applied by staff at all levels for successful project delivery.

Our quality management systems are certified to ISO 9001:2015 & are regularly audited by our compliance team to ensure we continue to maintain the highest possible standards in all our business operations.

Environmental

Sunville Rail recognises that the protection of the environment is an integral part of the company business strategy. Our environmental policy establishes commitment and legal compliance, setting aims and objectives to ensure continual improvement, responsibility and implementation across all operations. 

Our environmental management system is monitored and reviewed on a regular basis and is subject to both internal audit and audit by a UKAS approved certifying body.

Sunville Rail is qualified by audit on RISQS. Our supplier number is 3738.

FORS Fleet Operator

Sunville Rail operates a robust fleet management system has met the registered level requirements of the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme.

Environment Agency

Sunville Rail is registered under the Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2011.

CIRAS

Sunville Rail is a registered member of CIRAS.

Southern Shield

Sunville Rail supports the Southern Shield and its collaborative approach to safety in conjunction with Network Rail Infrastructure Projects Southern Region and its principal contractors
