Sunville Rail contracted by Kiers to install new substation security doors across various sites in the Wessex area.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

As part of Kiers NSCD project is to install a method of providing automatic secure and safe isolations to the D.C. traction

power system utilising switchgear with both local and remote control facilities Sunville rail were contracted to replace the

substation doors at Bracknell, Egham, Winnersh, Reading and Wokingham.

The new steel Strongdor security doors will increase security at substations ensuring substations are kept secure from

unauthorised access..

Sunville Rail carried out a sequence of the works to measure and deliver materials to site, temporarily disconnect door alarm

to enable removal and disposal of existing doors.

Sunville then carried out the Installation of replacement substation Door frame & Door and Re connected and tested the door

alarm.

Project was successfully completed within agreed timescale whilst carrying out our continued civils works on the Kiers NSCD

phase 3 project around the Wessex area.
