Sunville Rail undertaking Principal contractor role were requested to design a Drivers Walkway for access and egress to the new depot facility and a new Reflective Acoustic Fence segregating the depot as per the AFC drawing

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Sunville Rail was awarded a contract to carry out works at Feltham depot and gave Sunville our first opportunity to carry out works as a principal contractor.

Sunville Rail undertaking Principal Contractor role, successfully completed :

•Site Survey and Design

•700m of Acoustic fencing manually delivered .

• Tarmac and kerbing new depot road.

• Safety barriers for concrete aprons.

•Installation of GRP gates on driver’s walkways

•Provide site safety and welfare facilities

•Delivery of materials and plant to site

•Site clearance

•Palisade fencing installation

•Troughing Route Works

•Vegetation clearance

•Installation of Vortok Fencing

•Installation of temporary Heras fencing

•Minor Civils Snagging

The site location for the Acoustic Fence installation was within Feltham Train Depot and was broken down in to 3 key areas of work.

Area A (between SOP18- SOP 25): - Classed as high street environment (3m+) The work required no possessions or line blocks within the depot or main lines.

Area B (between SOP26- SOP35): - This area required a line block on the up/down arrivals to deliver materials and install fence. A SSOWP was in place to carry out the works in this area. Once a line block was granted the line could  be crossed at the section gap in 3rd rail.

Area C (between SOP36 – SOP39 & SOP48: - This area of work was carried out under separated protection using site warden to maintain 2m from the up/down arrivals.

Sunville Rail managed to successfully deliver in excess of 700m of acoustic fencing to a high standard whilst working across 3 different areas which provided a number of challenging issues which we are overcome to deliver on our clients expectation.
