Sunville Rail carries out lineside surveys for environmentally beneficial building wraps

Over the past few months Sunville Rail taking the role as Principal Contractor , alongside Beattie Passive have been working for Network Rail carrying out surveys at 50 critical lineside building sites in the South of England and Scotland to determine the feasibility and benefits of installing an independent structural wrap.

Network Rail have 18,000 critical line side buildings, with many that are nearing the end of their design life and requiring replacement.
They were designed without the knowledge of climate change and in an era of low energy costs.
Installing a low cost wrap gives the option to extend the lifespan of the building that houses operational equipment whilst also significantly reducing carbon emissions and electrical requirements for lineside buildings.
Building wrap also provides safe working environment for Network
Rail staff and operatives and protects plant and equipment housed in these buildings.
